Rabindranath Tagore’s ‘Visva Parichay’ to be translated in English

The Tagore Center for Natural Science and Philosophy (TCNSP) here will take up the assignment of deciphering Nobel laureate artist scholar Rabindranath Tagore's "Visva Parichay" into English and different dialects to highlight the troubadour's regard for logical laws. TCNSP plans to concentrate the interface of normal science and reasoning. Bolstered by the West Bengal government, it is facilitated at the state-run Rabindra Tirtha.



"Our first undertaking is interpret 'Visva Parichay' in English and different dialects to convey this to the world. This brilliantly composed book gives a thought of non-logical science yet is as yet unadulterated science," said atomic physicist Bikas Sinha, Chairman of TCNSP, while tending to the inaugural program of the inside on Friday.

He said the attempt would include specialists from India and abroad.

"Sir Roger Penrose, the famous Oxford physicist, will in all likelihood compose something about Tagore, his works and his association with science and connections with researchers," said Sinha.

Tagore appreciated science in his nightfall years, stating "Visva Parichay" (a gathering of expositions) in 1937.
