East-West Metro station work begins at Esplanade

KOLKATA: The development of the Esplanade station of East-West Metro started on Saturday after a green flag from railroad serve Suresh Prabhu who was at Howrah to initiate a few tasks for Bengal. The station at Esplanade will be one of a kind, with a trade with the current North-South Metro hall and the proposed one for the JokaBBD Bag interface.



The E-W Metro tracks will go beneath the current North-South ones and will be laid 26.23m subterranean level. The current tracks of the Kavi Subhash-Noapara connection are 11.73m subterranean level. The proposed tracks for the Joka-BBD Bag extend will likewise be 11.73m underneath the ground.

Among those present with Prabhu were Metro Railway general supervisor Vishwesh Chaubey , who is likewise the executive of Kolkata Metro Railways Corporation Ltd (KMRCL). S N Agrawal, general administrator, South Eastern Railway and Satish Kumar, extra GM, Eastern Railway and overseeing executive, KMRCL, were additionally present.
